Keeping the beat we have “Slammin” Shannon Smith on the tubs

Originally from Humboldt Iowa, Shannon grew up in the heart of America. He had many musical influences growing up as his father is also a musician and he played the snare drum, piano and saxophone in school bands and got a few lessons on the side from various local drummers. Shannon’s family relocated to Colorado Springs Colorado during his teen years and he began to take formal drum lessons and was trained in a variety of styles and genres from smooth jazz to heavy metal. Shannon performed in his family pop variety band through high school and into his early 20’s and played with an original rock band on the side making an album and doing various recording projects. Shannon works in the trash industry and has relocated several times through job opportunities and has played in rock and blues bands both in Kansas City and St Louis and has found himself settling down in the Northern Virginia area. Shannon is a “rock” drummer at heart but enjoys playing a variety of music and loves to play for the crowd.
